looking for some tools

just looking for a decent brand of tools to get that comes with like a lifetime warranty or something. dont particularly need nice **** like snap on or blue point. i want it, but to expensive for my broke ass. just looking for any other tools that are good, and where i can get them. looking for stuff like 8-22mm sockets, with ratchets, extensions, and all that, probably 1/8, 1/4, and 1/2 size sets. 8-22mm ratcheting wrenches, and normal wrenches. thats the main stuff i need. i dont want one of those sets where where you get everything for 100 dollars with the nifty little plastic case. probably rather buy every piece seperate

craftsman...sears...i have a full craftsman set its very nice came with like 750 pieces...cant remember how much it was

harbor freight, almost everything there is lifetime. (pittsburg tools)

and cheap as **** too (decent quality too)

Craftsman is good, lifetime warantees FTW. Just don't buy Chinese tools and you will be ok.

ill probably go with craftsman, only familiar thing ive heard so far on here and some other places. i may look at sets if i have to, but do they have a large supply of seperate tools

Kobalt tools at lowes comes with a lifetime warrenty. It breaks just bring it back to lowes, no receipt needed. Kobalt tools are made by snap-on but cheaper.

someone else just told me about kobalt, i may look into them. also was just trying to figure out if i should just got with snap on and just get what i need for now, or do something cheaper and get most of what i need up front. but being i did most of my motor swaps or other major work with just a set of normal wrenches, with some sockets and two ratchets ill probably just go with snap on and get that stuff, and whatever i end up needing later ill get later. for some reason i just want alot of tools, but its probably smarter to just go with what im going to need for now with a better brand. but if kobalt is better then craftsman and maybe not to far under snap on i may get them

craftsman is life time. if you break one, they will give you a refurbished one, NOT a new one, unless they run out of refurbished ones.

I have friends that work at dealerships that use Snap on and craftsman,
the snap on sockets seem to fit alitt. tighter than the craftsman
and we all know tight is good.....LoL

But Craftsman seems to hold up fine for weekend work for car audio and the
honda.

my friend owes them about 5,000, but he has alot of ****. as for the matco rachet for 50, i have 2 snap on ratchets laying around somewhere. had a bluepoint digital thermometer, it disappeared. charger for my blue point power screw driver disappeared, 3/8 snap on impact is get ragged out, which reminds me do i need a receipt to get my stuff replaced? i got it all when i worked at a dealership about 2 years ago and that was way back in georgia and i dont know where the receipts are.

i use craftsman.....the sears at stonecrest sells craftsman...i went in there one time with prob. 5 diff screw drivers that were beat up but not broke and still did their job fine. they took them no questions asked and told me to get the same ones off the shelf..brand new...also the same thing with a 1/4" ratchet and 3/8"

oh yeah, i dont live in conyers anymore. im way the hell out in texas, no more stonecrest to goto. do have a sears over here though, think ill just get a snap on account on one of the trucks

that's why I never send it back through the mail. Just take it to sears. I've had several flat head screwdrivers and a ratchet break and they just go open the case and get one out and hand it to me.

Anyways, I use craftsman. When I first started my tool collection my parents got me like a 265 piece mechanics tool set from there, and I added to it on my own. I think the set was ~$200
