If my #s are low, or strangely high I wanna know why, IE, I know what my boost levels should be at at certain RPMs, on that particular octane setting. Do they? Nope. can they watch my boost gauge and tell me what my N75valve is doin w/ boost creep, or at lower RPMs when it sometimes gets irratic? Doubt it.
Until a dyno can show me boost and rpms on a plotted graph simultaneously, I wanna pilot my car. To think dyno operators know your car is ignorant...some do, some dont. I cant afford to learn which dont.
Also, ALOT of cars pop on the rollers, most dyno shops look for you to say stop if something is goin wrong, if you arent in the car, its a few seconds that can cost alot of $$.
Besides, The SAFEST place to be during a dyno pull is IN the car, not standing near it.
