Also, as a precautionary measure, due to being scammed recently (no offense to you), I will not ship the bike until payment is in my account and cleared for 72 hours. I'm trying to cover all my bases now as I almost lost a racing mountain bike due to the scam I'm speaking of.

My payment method would probably be Money order or paypal, but we would have to discuss shipping. I will only ship to a confirmed address if shipping through paypal. I would estimate that packaging and shipping total should be $75.00. If that seems fair to you, then I prefer a USPS Money order. If you will be sending a USPS money order, ship to the address below. If you must use paypal, and have a confirmed address for me to ship to, my paypal address is [email protected] . As stated before, your address must be confirmed for me to ship to it. the total would be $1525.00. I will not ship the item until next Wednesday at the soonest. As stated before, I am racing on the bike one last time this weekend in Atlanta, GA, and then the bike must be broken down, packaged, and such.

My mode of payment would be cash if you're close enough. Where are you located? After this weekend, I will have the bike broken down, cleaned, and reassembled with the new shimano 105 parts. If you aren't close enough, we will discuss further.

    Thanks,
    Dustin

wait till you get the check then just see if its real, its not hard to figure out if a check is real or not.

Might not want to have your full name, address, email, and phone number up on the internet. Just a thought.

Is this you or the pot posting? Either way, bad advice.

I wouldn't accept this for a minute. Anytime someone wants to send you a check or paper form of money and have you cash it and send them the remaining back, there's something wrong. Later, QD.

I see now that you already have the check? I would tell the bank the exact same thing. In fact, take the E-mails with you. Let them look at that check. I've read quite a few stories lately about people actually going to jail for trying to cash these checks on the same exact pretenses that you're in. Let the bank know up front what's going on so you don't get put in the mix with whoever sent you the check. Later, QD.

It's a old scam hands down, been getting e-mails exactly like that for years of selling stuff online.

EVERY SINGLE letter like that ALWAYS says the "last price" you can tell it's a letter and recently did they change the words "interested in buying your item or product" to the actual item you are selling to make it look realer.
