    Regardless of whether the phone is being used on the at&t network or not, you still buy it through AT&T. When you buy the phone, it is completely inactive until you go on iTunes and activate it, so trust me... Whether the phone is unlocked or not, AT&T is not losing any money.

    iActivator FTW Activates your phone without you needing to go onto iTunes. Also the way these people are doing is getting the phone to activate with a dummie AT&T SIM, just so that the phone gets out of it's "locked" state. Then they slip in whatever SIM card they have and they're good to go....
