You guys talk about how there used to be "IA Meets" in which it was really just an IA Meet. Why have these stopped? I mean, yeah, the abundance of crap on the site is pretty substantial and yes, I do contribute my fair share, but most of the members are pretty cool in person. Why not try to host one of these "IA Only Meets" and start putting some faces to some names and really get to know each other and our cars/hobbies. Not just a typical Varsity meet either.

Here's the deal on that. Most of the original members that were all in this have grown up and out of this hobby. They've moved on to a more settled down, responsible life. Buying houses and having families. You could say that's been "handed down" to the next group to follow what we started. But this next group coming is the group consisting mostly of young folks with this chip. They wanna act hard ass and badass at every little piece of criticism and no one, with any sense, wants to be around that shit. Everyone used to know me around town because I would drive from Conyers to every meet in the Northside. Now no one knows me because I don't have time to defend my online persona and I'm not going to try to "deal" with some angry kid who I pissed off on the Net. So that's why I don't go anymore. I understand that life moves on and people change. No arguments there, but you gotta understand that a lot of us new, younger members also get tired of the overabundance of e-punks and such. Yeah, the forum gets a lot of spam and other bullsh*t, but overall I think the core purpose is still intact. If there was a real IA Meet organized by the founders, OG's, and new members of the site then I think it would serve a lot to correct some of the perspectives that may be out of place. Yeah, not everyone would have the time to make it out, but it'd still probably be a good get-together in the end. Opinions?
QD, my last IA meet turned out very well. Don't think everyone is a shit talker or whould do it in person. I met alot of cool people, who i thought were queers online. Ran, people do move on.. some continue to go to meets, others stay home and take care of their familys.. me personally am getting tired of all this bullshit..

My 2 cents....its not really IA, its the culture. Its the new generation who do some things that really make me scratch my head sometimes.
We have few leaders and a bunch of followers. For example
1. Person starts a silly thread
-die black people
-member x is a homo
-i'm gonna slap this bitch
etc etc
And then all the followers do
-die white people, asian people etc threads
-member y, a, d, b is a home threads
-i'm gonna slap this bitch, hoe, slut
etc etc
So the forum gets tons of really the same threads by people who think its funny and the I.Q rating decreases as the threads grow.
If someone has a serious matter, its either ignored or laughed at. But if someone posts a pic of someones butt, its funny.
I think this past Varsity meet was fantastic. To ME, tons of people were chatting and just kicking it. People walked up to other people and introduced themselves. O.Gs mingled. It was a beautiful thing.
I think O.Gs and some mods need to set the example. I know, I am the co-admin on SELOC and a Super-Moderator on Clublexus for 6 years now. People follow suit.

How exactly do you go about banning random noobs, I mean its not going to get done because doing something like that is just unethical. Banning people has to be done to those who deserve a ban.
Realistically there should be a systematic trail type process or petition process.
Some one does something fucked up, or says some fucking rude shit, his name gets put on the "Need to be banned list" A group of moderators review the case, decide weather or not the occurrence is worthy of an instant ban or weather or not the person should be warned. Or you can take an actual petition where there needs to be a certain amount of people wanting to get some one banned for a legit reason.
its what people consider funny and what other people consider just plain stupid. too many young and immature cats on here period. until the mods start doing their job and making it aware where the lines are and that they shouldn't be crossed is when things will start to get better.
the problem is that some of the mods here are the problem.. thinkfast, phatboymr2 are 2 off the top of my head that have done nothing but make the situation worse... phatboy just screams for attention while thinkfast doesn't know when to shut his trap. he continuously disrespects people for no reason. if a mod is allowed to disrespect its members... then its members are going to disrespect others as well... its just a negative cycle that will keep going on and on until you get the "right" people to moderate these forums... its quite simple really....

No internet at home but I went to bp alot and I can say that shit went downhill fast. It was cool at first got to meet up wit some cool cats then that last time i went watchin a muther fucker drift out of the parking lot a good min before the cop rolled past kinda did it for me. I wanna go back there or some other meet but I worry its gonna be some insane bust like moreland was. If this site went the same way I agree send the posers packing! But do it fare cuz some of us ( me!) are in this for what you OG's are in it for and shouldnt be confused with them.
