Default Car shopping is the most frustrating thing ever.

There are just too many cars now, geez. After banging your head against the wall trying to decide what kind of car you want, you still have to go through the trouble of finding on for a fair price that isnt a POS. This is really irritating.

Hard part for me is I know exactly what I want. It's just out of my price range, so I'll stick with the civic for now.

My next car will be a BMW/LEX/MERCEDES or something around that field... a couple of more years or so... More Luxury/Confort then anything else...... Was close to buying a lexus.. but decided to wait.... Was tempting though.. When the carmax salesman told me.. You got approve for anything on the lot.... But a daily driver was more important for now..

Its deffiently a game. I just hate dealing with sales men, no offence, thesalesmanager. I hate having to sit in an office for an entire day filling out paper work and etc. Other than that, everything else is kinda easy unless you can't decide on which car you want more.

It's never that easy for me I guess. I always know my budget, in this case, 30k. I want something that will be fun to drive out of the box, but potential for mods if I ever get bitten by that bug again. I don't want it to be some POS. So, I could spend close to my 30, or buy a cheaper car and mod the hell out of it. There are SO many cars that cost under 30k it almost sucks. I could easily list 20 cars.

WELL ALL I HAVE TO SAY IS IT SHOULD NOT BE THAT HARD MY CUSTOMERS GENERALLY ARE IN AND OUT WITHIN AN HOUR BUT USUALLY AT THERE PACE. I DONT TRY AND SELL I JUST SHOW WHAT WE HAVE AND WHAT I CAN GET AND THATS ALL. I BROKER ABOUT 10 CARS A MONTH AS I SELL THEM CHEAPER THAT WAY THAN ANY OTHER DEALERSHIP CAN AND MOST PRIVATE PARTYS AS WELL(799 OVER COST) IF YOU REALLY WANT ADVICE I SAY GO BUY CARMAX OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT DRIVE A FEW SEE WHAT YOU WANT THEN CALL ME, LIKE I SAID WE GENERALLY CAN BEAT CARMAX BY 2G'S OR SO. I HAVE PERSONALLY BOUGHT 4 CARS FROM MY LOT IN THE LAST YEAR FOR MYSELF..SORRY HAVE A BAD HABIT OF SELLING MY PERSONAL CARS FOR MORE THAN I PAYED FOR THEM. BUT LIKE JULIO SAID RESEARCH THE CARS YOU LIKE A BIGGY IS MAINTENCE VS. REPAIR AS WELL AS RELIABILITY...CONSUMER REPORTS...

do you want a manual or an auto?
do you want cloth or leather interior?
what exterior color do you want?
what interior color do you want?
    sunroof ,convertable or hardtop?
    performance or economy?
    what drive configuration fwd,rwd,awd?

i would prefer a dark grey/dark silver one, with alloys - preferrably no leather (i hate leather), preferrably a sunroof. low miles (below like 50K)

price is important - i don't want my payments higher than what they are now and i will also have to sell the max - but i really want a 4runner!

lol, I see your going through this again. I've known 4bangin for atleast 2yrs or more now and I've watched him go through this before. He'll find something he likes buy it, drive the shit out of it for about 3mons then get tired of it. It's gonna be hard for him to find a car that he'll be happy with for a year or more.

So, it is still tough for me heh. I am not picky, but at the same time I am. It's weird. I'm just a pain in the ass.

Damn, thanks Spyder Man! Some of those were awesome suggestions that never crossed my mind before. As of right now I am mostly trying to figure out what type of performance I want. I am leaning towards an open track/auto-x type car, which a e36 m3 is on the top of my list. If I decide to get a more drag oriented car I will just keep my mr2. It isnt really made for drag, but it is already built and wouldnt need much to be alot faster. I decided to keep my daily driver for awhile so whatever I get doesnt have to be one. Thanks again though, that was awesome. I'm going to look into a few of those that I wasnt thinking about before.

    no worries man, you said:
I want something that will be fun to drive out of the box, but potential for mods if I ever get bitten by that bug again. I don't want it to be some POS.
So as I made that list I kept it in mind. I should have just posted a damn E36 M3 because that is something alot of us would love to have. it will be my next car unless i decide to go for the E46 M3. The only reason i didnt buy one this time around was because maintnance is a bitch on Bimmers and everything is so pickey and expensive.

Be sure to take a look at the R32 vDub i posted. Compare it realistically to the M3. It makes more power, it is a 6 speed and its AWD. oh.. and it weighs about the same. Plus with a *little* work it is over 300 AWHP. imo one of the baddest cars on the street.

Im a huge BMW fan, and now a pretty big VDub fan as they are fun to drive and yet reliable as the day they are new as long as you follow the proper upgrade path.

Good luck with your decision as the time approaches, i have driven every single one of these cars and know the pros and cons of each.
