I think the race card is used to remove blame from themselves. People do not want to take responsibility for what they have done, and they use race as an excuse to put blame elsewhere and take the attention off what they have done.

The problem is that when someone does this, it is in fact reverse descrimination. If I were black, society lets me use the race card. Since I am white, I will never be able to claim racial descrimination.
