Default June 26th, 2002: It's been 5 years, IA v. my how time flies (wreck pics)

June 26th, 2002 was a turning point in my life as you can see from the pics below. I can't believe that 5 years have gone by so quickly. Enjoy.

What the car first looked like:

That white truck ran a redlight...

The pictures that you see are from the impounding of both cars for the accident recreation (since I died on the scene and wasn't expected to live through the night).

Basically, that 17ft box truck ran a red light at 60mph. I received 10 broken ribs, broken sternum, both lungs collapsed/punctured, head injuries, left side of my body injuries, internal bleeding, abrasion on my spleen, internal organ bruising, died on the scene twice, coma for 6 days, ICU for almost 2 weeks, etc.

Cliffs: I was fucked up and I shouldn't be alive to type this.

Thats ridiculous. I heard that you were in an accident but I didnt know it was nearly this severe. How was the recovery and how are you now?

Aside from some arthritis in my chest, I'm pretty good to go. It took a while to recover, though. Rehab, etc.

Not bad at all. Sucks you had to go through this because of someone being inconsiderate and running a light. What happened to them?

Hey Kyle... We had a prayer request at church a couple sundays ago for a kid from GT who was in a wreck I believe. I know it's a huge college but do you by chance know who I'm talkin about?

Unlike the movies, you can't sue for what they don't have. They didn't have any money, so there was really nothing to get. It happens...

We did sue, but could only collect his insurance limits...

If someone sued you, how much could they really take? Now, think back to when you were 18. How much did you really have back then?

My mom was ran over by a motor cycle at the harley drags in reynolds 10 years ago and didnt get a penny out of it cause they guy didnt have ANYTHING. His motorcycle wasnt even in his name. Luckily she didnt have anything but swelling soreness and burising back then, but shes had migraines since, so she still suffers because of it.

I remember this from that previous "who's had the craziest wreck" thread or whatever! There was you, Ren, and someone else who had a crazy one!

The possibilities of something like that (your wreck situation) happening is why I act the way I do!
