yep. it's very common to see trucks governed at 65-70 MPH, it helps you "maintain a safe speed" aka saves the company $$ on fuel and insurance. If you know a good mechanic, however they can turn that ish up for you on the down low.

The Volvo trucks come with HID's on them already I believe. I've seen several with them. I've often wondered what it would be like to be out on the road for a month or so. My grandfather did it for 45 years, said that his marriage wouldn't have lasted if he didn't keep the job up. I really enjoy driving and seeing new places. I would hate to have to pull up to a place to unload a trailer at 4am. And have to hunt for someone in the shipping office.

So wait... does this mean that IA will be QD'less for a while?!

I agree 100%. And trust me, last week, I thought I'd never get to my destination. But when you're hauling 80,000 pounds around, there isn't any need for me to get to too fast. But 65mph is the average top speed allowed. There are several area that are 70, but most states have a maximum of 65. Later, QD.
