Ok so I am selling my bike and this guy calls me and wants to give me a certified check from wachovia. how can i verify the check is real before I hand him my bike?

Also is there any better way to do this so I can get cash?

i have heard of fake certified checks and the money being taken back even after the money was deposited into an account

tell him cash only!! cuz if he can write a check then hes got them money so tell him you will only take cash.

Lol, why do you make things difficult, cash the check, get the money and be done with it, they can't take money if its fake, they'll do their own investigation to get their money back from the guy who made the fake check

Yup. Be safe. Cash the cashier's check at a Wachovia, take cash, sign paperwork, give him keys, end of story.
