The title says it all. What are your fears?

ever since i watched Fire in the Sky when i was a little kid, i've been scared of aliens.
yeah, it's retarded... i know. But when you're young and impressionable, your imagination can get the best of you. After i watched it, i had nightmares every night for a few years. It became a regular occurence. They were the types of dreams where you're trapped, helpless, can't move your legs to run away. scary shit.

i don't have them anymore. Come to think of it... i can't remember the last time i actually had a memorable dream of any kind.

aliens still creep me out though.

This will sound weird...but I also can't stand a pattern of small holes of slightly varying sizes. I saw a picture of an infected breast once and it freaked me the fuck out.

Truthfully the only real fears i have in life are spiders, slow and painful death, and getting stranded in the ocean.

I have wrecked at 100+ mph, been shot at a few times, seen people die up close, and seen some scary shit so not much scared me these days

I'm afraid of heights. I remember when the movie Lost in Space came out, I went to go see the big premier at the Fox Theatre. Anyways, we had a seat right by the edge of the upper floor. That was when I realized that I was really afraid of heights.

I remember that show...it was pretty crazy. Nickelodeon used to kick ass back in those days...

I really only watched it for Vanessa Lengies.

I guess there is something pretty menacing about clowns.

I'm also afraid of things happening to my eyes or earlobes...but I think I've gotten over my eye thing, since I have contacts now. My earlobe thing...a dog pierced my left ear for me when I was two. The scar is still there. I'm really sensitive about my earlobes now...

I can't say i'm straight out afraid of the dark, but i am certainly afraid of the "unknown"...

Like being in a completely dark and unfamiliar room not knowing whats around you... and same for swimming in the ocean... no fucking clue what could be lurking. That's the only thing that really freaks me out.

I'd be scared as fuck to be in the middle of the ocean...unless, I'd imagine, if I was on a cruise ship, but I've never been on a cruise ship, so I wouldn't know.

I had the same issue when I was younger, except it was from watching the movie "communion" which is supposedly a true story about aliens. Theres this one scene where the main guy wakes up for no reason. He then gets up and sits in a chair next to his bed, leaving his wife in the bed asleep. After sitting there for a minute or so, the door to his bedroom (which is accross the room) slowly starts opening. It stops about half way open. After another 30 seconds or so an alien (the typical big eyed kind) slowly peeks around the door and stops with only half his face showing, just looking at him.

Still gives me chills! I had to force myself to watch the movie one night just to help get over it.

Things change though, they dont bother me anymore. Now my biggest fear is somehow not being able to protect my 17 month old daughter.
