    Is Logan blowing his coat?

My two shibas are. I like to use it as a coffee filter. I may knit a sweater with it this year, though.

    Yes, he's blowing coat.
He's been blowing coat for two months now.

And I've been told by the akita people that the first blow takes FOREVER.

It does. Yoshi is still blowing his coat. Kenshin is almost done with his, just gets some clumps around his rear - which he won't let me comb.

Best way is to sit them outside, get a comb and brush until your arm hurts. Your neighbors will love the little puffs of doggie fur that decorate their yard!

    Psssh!

Dog/cat/chinchilla hair is part of pretty much any meal I consume at home.

Eww.. i have a soft coated wheaten terrier. They are hypo-allergenic and have hair instead of fur. He nevers sheds a single hair unless he's matted and u have to brush hard. Its a great kind of pet to own, one that doesnt shed. lol

Terriers have WAY WAY WAY too much energy (and prey drive... I have small fuzzies) for me.

I like my big, dopey, laid back ball-licker Akita.

Lol yes my dog does have alot of energy, but not as much as most terriers. The only time he is excited is when the doorbell rings. Otherwise he is pretty lazy. But yeah their coats feel incredible. GL with everyones dogs..
