I hope your joking. The Camry is FWD, built in America for America with a I-4 or V-6. IS was built for Europe and Japan and in IS 300 form, for America. RWD, I-6 (I-4 available in the Altezza in Europe).

The 2 cars are so far apart its not even funny. We got many IS 300 owners on SELOC and they are a diverse group of people.

I've never seen a V4 IS300 in the U.S., unless I read that wrong . I think the ES-series more closely resembles the Avalons. I know the old Avalons looked exactly like Lexus' cars, except with a Toyota badge and more gadgets. The IS350 looks and resembles nothing like any of the current Toyota lineup though.

BTW, the old Camrys (~1997) sucked. I've had two friends that almost died in car accidents because the chassis basically got ripped in half. Toyota safety features FTL!

also... they do make the camry in 4 and 6 cylinder applications. and you must either be smoking crack or high on sniffing too much glue cuz an is350 looks nothing like an avalon.... there is another toyota in japan that resembles the avalon, but it isn't an is350.

I'm pretty sure I know a lot more about geography than you, among other things. Since you are such a geography guru, why are you only showing a picture of SE Asia when the title said Asia? Until just recently, Lexus were NEVER designed with speed/power in mind. They were designed for a totally different reason. So maybe you just expected the wrong trait when you were car shopping. Kinda like looking for an easy lay at a Billy Graham revival.....just aint the right place even if they have the right equipment.....

In 06 and 07 there were no IS300's, only IS350's. Now you wanna compare again??? I doubt it. So if you want to compare Honda's 06 V6 then compare it to an 06 Lexus V6, which we all know what the outcome of that is.

A 240hp V-6 Accord is a tad bit quicker than a 215hp IS 300. IS 300 was never that fast stock, 0-60 in low 7s with the auto and 6.9 with the manual and mid 6s with the L-tuned mods. Its better in twisties though, the handling was described as good if not better than a 3 series at the time.

You have to be kidding. Avalon is Camry based. IS 250/350 is based off a shortened GS platform. No one has a V-4. Its an I-4.
