    Default Gas Prices

Why is it that regular gas is getting more expensive by the day, but race gas is pretty much the same price?

    Discuss.

More people use regular gas so they jump the price on it to get more money. Racing gas has less buyers so no need to increase its price.

Well, I know that reason, but they keep saying that it is "not supply and demand that is driving the price up." So I am trying to see if there is another reason this would be possible. At this rate, I might as well start putting 100 octane in my SUV LOL!

Yeah if gas prices keep rising like they are I might just go to half and half fuel.

who gets more money? Just so you know gas stations are making very little money off gasoline at this time.

Is not really "demand", is that barrel(sc) price.

But how does that work? A barrel is a barrel, whether it's race gas or regular gas.

depending on where you get the race gas or higher octane.... race gas is already expensive as it is.
Now higher octane will always change on a daily basis.

I believe the average REG gas price is 2.09 in the nation, so we are still behind, not for long though.

If you guys want cheap gas move to WY hahah they are averaging about 1.70 right now.
Crazy GA use to have the lowest gas in the coutry.

Well the problem is the US doe not have ample means to refine the crude oil, if we had more refineries we could buy straight up crude oil and make gas. Since we don't they are charging us more because they refine it hence, expensive gas. I know I feel it hitting my pockets too, I have to buy 93 for my ride.
