Friday I called to see how much my fine would be and the lady said it was $173. She also told me if I get on more point I'll get my license suspended until I turn 18. I'm pretty happy because it wasn't as much as I expected it to be and I now do the speed limit way more often. Slower speeds=more gas.

Yesterday I got my first ticket on I-85 going south. It was an 83 in a 60. The state trooper told me he wouldnt put it in the construction zone and that I also wouldnt lose my liscence, but does anyone know how much this is going to run me. Also how many points on my liscence. I guess it's time to invest in a radar detector.

It should be near $200 bcuz I got a ticket long time ago on I-316 for going 85 in a 55 (30 over) and mine was $251.
So yours should be a bit under.

This is the realization that I came to as well. I now drive a car with a smaller, less powerful engine and drive 5 over the speed limit max. I haven't gotten a speeding ticket in years (knock on wood).
