    Can someone explain why Copper is stronger "mechanically" than Aluminum?

    Yeah, like Mischif said, but not too sure exactly. I believe it has to do with the number of some atomic makeup, but not sure if its the protons or electrons. Maybe looking at a Periodic Table would help, and see what the corresponding numbers are. hope it helps.

    It is more dense, its a real alkaline earth metal where as aluminum is not its a semi. simple fact that earth metal Cu > steepies loser like Al.
