Default How do people get jobs!!

Allow me to share with ya'll my car- buying experience this weekend. Okay, after a convo with both Tracy, & Mr Kidd, I decide to go ahead & trade my 00 Celica for a 95 240SX.

Okay, so I find a dealership that had one, kinda pricey, but since I was doing a trade-in, I couldn't go to private seller. Okay, so me & my buddy drive down there in our own cars, cause he wanted to maybe trade his in too.

Okay, so we get there, & they give us this chubby black guy. 1st, he couldn't drive a stick, he had to have someone else drive the car from their lot up the street. Oh this is team Ford on South Cobb drive.

Okay, now we inspect & drive the car, I drive, then my buddy cuase I wanted his opinion also on how/what I was seeing/hearing. Okay, after he appraises my car, we get to it.

I tell him whats wrong with the car & roughly how much it'd cost once I left the lot. Door was sagging, improperly lined-up,exhaust was rusted & had hole, awfule peeling tint, & bad clutch, along with the engine, but I'd have swapped the engine accordingly anyhow.

So I end-up not getting it, cause he offended me, like I had never bought a car before. So my buddy's like " well what else you got?" He tells th eguyhe wanted something faster than his Integra GSR tirbo'd, the fucking guy pointed to a FORD FOCUS!!!

I shyt you not, he's like " Oh it's even a 5-Speed" LMAO. At this point we know he has no clue, so my boy's like " naw, something faster". The guy points to the Mustangs.

Okay, he shows us a Cobra, so I was like " You know I've always loved those Shelby Gt 500's, you got any". Dudes waves his hands back, & says" man you guys are killing me, I don't know what you're saying or wanting". LMAO

So I goofily proceed further, asked if he had a Pontiac GTO, he freakin points to the 4-door Grand Ams!!! LMAO After that we just left, he was disgusted, but I'm thinking, how can you get mad at you being a car salesman & not knowing shyt about cars?

I mean if I was a novice car guy I'd be driving home in a fuckin focus!! lol So he's also liek " well you guys know more stuff than I do. What are called, like ya'll are car enthusiaists, car tun, errr Car gurus, what?" LMAO OMG I just took his card & left.lol

Now I was supposed to goto the team Nissan lot, but when I asked for directions, they sent me there. So the Team Nissan people called back & I may go up there later this week & check them out. They promised they won't stick me with a novice again.

Probably check out the G-35 coupe's, & the 350 Z's. Thanks for reading my eventful weekend.lol.....Vegeta

Well ANthony, I am in serious deliberation as to keeping or trading it in. Now I have my eyes set on either a 350Z, a Pontiac GTO, or a G35 coupe. The fiancee hates EVO's, well she really doesn't like 4-door cars. lol

So that knocks out Evo's,STI's,& SRT-4's. So I have to find a nice coupe. I do like my Celica tho, so I may end-up keeping it. Despite the " ricer" comments she will get from here. On day-to-day bascis I get alot of compliments. So we'll see.....Vegeta

Okay HUlud, long story. I knew my best bet to get another car was to trade mine in. I went there with a grand to put down. The 240 was $6,592, no counting the BS dealer fee's. I owe $9,300 on my Celica, but they were giving me $7K, so I was trying to get financing on the remaining roughly 3K.

Now I do understand the banks not wanting to finance older cars with high miles. I specifically asked them would that be a problem, they said no, but since I went to wrong dealership, maybe that was the problem. I would think you'd want to get rid of that older car for mine at any cost. Haggling over 3k, well 2K was sad, & ridiculous.lol

The guy wouldn't, or should I say couldn't get er dun!! lol I was just expecting more knowledge from this guy. I mean not knowing about a multitude of cars is one thing, but somethings definately wrong if you think a Focus is faster than a Integra. LMAO

Then I gave you a chance by going into your supposed to be expertise with the Mustangs. You again fail by not knowing about one of the if not the most popular model of set Mustangs.lol

I left that lot thinking" shyt I should go apply to be a car salesman" LMAO....Vegeta

A lot of salesmen are lacking in that department.

A friend of mine, (YamiKai04) went to Team Nissan on Thornton Rd. and asked about a car and an SR20.

He had know idea what an SR20 was.

Well yeah, they only educate them on the new cars they are selling. My uncle works for Nissan, thats why I had that 240sx, because he recommended I get a Nissan.
