I knew you'd counteract with something completely stupid. lolol
Stupid people with guns in ANY setting is failure waiting to happen. The fact that the guy needed an instructor to clear a jam tells you this school employee had no business with a concealed firearm.
This goes back to something I said a while ago about the training to get a concealed carry. IMO, you should have to pass a competency test to get a concealed weapons license. Without the help of an instructor, you should know how to clear a jam safely. You should be able to safely present a firearm from a holster, and you should definitely be able to hit a head and torso target from 10 yards. 10 rounds, or 1 full magazine(cylinder) if less than 10 rounds, from the hand gun of your choice in under 40 seconds. 80% required to pass. If you can hit 80% as part of your test, you could probably hit 20% in a real life situation.
They should have done it like the Army did. Assume every new recruit is fucking retarded and a danger to themselves and others. Train them on dummy weapons and blanks before moving on to live ammunition and weapons. Hell there was still a guy down range that blew his head off cleaning his weapon. He was a fobbit. Why he had a round chambered is beyond me.
Give them guns and they may just weed themselves out. Sadly they may also take out a few smart ones too. :P
