AT&T also had some good news that helped the market. They announced that they would begin hiring again towards the end of the fiscal year.

the only extra money that was put into circulation was a FAILED venture that yielded no results b/c there were not strings attached, so banks took the money spent lavishly like always and didn't open up any new avenues for lending... it isn't like 5 months later loans are easier to get
here is my biggest stink w/ rep supporters... we preach less gov yet we will let major corp execs steal American tax dollars and not hold them accountable (not saying dems are any better they are more worried about giving away money to the lazy)... our gov needs to keep a firm grip on these companies we are bailing out and hold leading execs accountable for their actions... if we are giving 100 Billion to a company I'm sorry but that should yield enough power to put someone on the board of directors to oversee the stability of the company. Tax payers are becoming major stock holders in these companies whether we like it or not. If these companys turn a profit the economy will stablize; if they keep going down using our money we all will FAIL.

the U.S. needs to spend money on things that can actually benifit us. I actually heard in a class of mine (do not know if this is true or not) but the U.S. actually spends money to do research on bubbles. I mean if this is true it is dumb as hell. I mean fucking bubbles.
