Most of them were embryos from test tubes and they remove the stem cells which automatically terminates the embryo.
Anyone against this, needs to go jump off a diving board without water, become a quadriplegic, and THEN say they are against it!

look at abortion pictures and then say you're for it.
and also the sheer number of innocent babies murdered in our country up to now.
i really don't appreciate the humor used in association with abortion...this is no joking matter. unbelievable.
sorry but we already have enough unwanted children in this world. i would love to know the staggering numbers of prolifers who have adopted. gov has no place to tell someone what they can/can't do w/ their body. if we had population control like some other countries we wouldn't have so many idiots running around this country.Originally Posted by choiiiiiiiii
so the "need" to get rid of unwanted children justifies murder?Originally Posted by admin
and please, do look up the numbers, i'm curious as well.
"idiots running around this country" wow really? is that the best you can come up with? look at china, do you honestly think population control is working over there, according to your "idiots running around this country" theory?
how can it be considered murder if it cant live on its own?Originally Posted by choiiiiiiiii

however, abortion is what a woman is doing to her baby, not to herself...although many women do go through severe stages of depression and whole bunches of other psychological whatnots, but hey we'll look at that later if need be.
2) when does life begin? as soon as an embryo is formed.
or better yet, let's just ask the baby when it popped out. "when did life begin for you?"
3) hm..good question. would community service for an orphanage in a foreign country count for something?
Really any pictures of medical operations look grotesque. I'm sure if you showed people pictures of tumors they would probably have the same reaction. I have browsed some of the books we send out to the Vet-Med library down in Tifton, and some of the diseases/problems with cattle and swine will make you seriously reconsider eating meat. But I still order my steaks medium rare.Originally Posted by choiiiiiiiii

Bozzio for president.
I'm all about it. I had a friend that was one of the 2 first people to have stemcell treatment about 8 years ago. He was paralized from the waist down but has been walking and lifting for about 7 years now. And I agree with admin 100%
yeah, it really is amazing. He went from wheel chair to walking on his own in about a month.Originally Posted by RedEj8

screw it. not like its a living person. we need the cures that stem cells can provide. only downside, whenever a cure for something is found, the pharm. companies will cover it up any way possible cause in their minds and sorta the truth. there is not profit in cures. there's already a cure for the man made HIV/AIDs and cancer. even tho new research is proving that HIV and AIDs are a lot more different than we are told.
You know better; next time will be a ban.
did a quick google search. this is the quickest, most current statistic I could find:
July 8, 2007
Adoptions are increasingly in the headlines around the world. Some Hollywood celebrities have been in the news recently for adopting children abroad, and there has been a renewed interest in the plight of orphaned children. What is the annual number of child adoptions worldwide?
A. 1 million B. 250,000 C. 125,000 D. 40,000
B. 250,000 is correct.
About 85 percent of these adoptions are domestic, or undertaken within the same country. In relative terms, the number of child adoptions is small, with only 1.5 percent out of the 16 million orphans worldwide being placed each year.
The number of adoptions that take place each year in the United States is 125,000. The United States thus accounts for about one-half of the total number of child adoptions worldwide, with most of them being domestic adoptions.

Population control is inevitable, through some form or another. Point blank.
We are witnessing history..N just because now its legal doesnt mean research hasnt been done in hideing!!!
I feel like abortion is too complicated to express into multiples. How you feel about this is directly a result of who you are nature or nuture. While destroying an embryo tugs at my heartstrings I won't let it over shadow the true wonder at what has been accomplished. This is also so powerful that I dont think it will be controllable with policy if it is allowed to develop rapidly. It may easily de-humanize the population.

I feel that this is OK as long as embryos aren't produced solely so that the stem cells can be harvested from them. However, since the embryos they harvest from are ones that would be trashed anyways, they might as well use them for some good.

but like i said before, go break your neck, land on your head, be confined to a wheel chair or bed AND THEN argue about a little group of replicating cells in a sack that contain the key to you becoming normal again. Something that a few years ago was just impossible throughout human history.
