RedGT, I am not arguing the ratings at all. I am one of the viewers (along w/ my family) who viewed maybe the first hour, then turned the channel. Lots of viewers tuned in, but lost interest.

People would have tuned in if it wasn't a recap of the last 12 months of B.S (all the drama). I was done watching 20min in, but my family discussed a little longer before turning.

New content is what they should have opted for, or at least kept the program at an hour.

People complain about people telling you things now? Geez. Its better to have an explanation of the road ahead than to just wing it. Does it matter, really? No one in here complained of under-explanations of the Bush Admin did they?

"...well why tha fuk are we asking for 700bil and have no idea where to spend it?" "Why tha fuk arent u telling the American folks their business?" Its our business to know because he is our leader and we are the people that hired him.

He's takin this job head on the proper way, as a man should. And letting all of our asses know what the future holds, whether they are just dreams or things that can be done. People work better when they know whats up and whos up to it instead of NOT trusting the government and its people.

So I congratulate Obama, he's doing things no other President can or will. He asks and responds and works with the people, for the people and with the people in mind. Not just him and his crew like past Presidents.

I AGREE! this should be the primary point of this ENTIRE thread.

on the other hand, everyone expects obama to be "mr. perfect" and he gets shunned for not being so. we've seen the same shit over and over and over again..."he hangs with terrorist...mortgage sweetheart deals...racist pastor....racist friends...criminal friends...etc." the thing is...WE'VE NEVER HAD ONE SINGLE PRESIDENT WHO DIDN'T HAVE ALL OF THOSE CONNECTIONS....NOT ONE! all of that shit is, and always has been OLD. the only new thing is the man is "black." now all of a sudden, "poor black ppl rallied for him, that's how he got elected!" what's ironic is, you see all sorts of discussions as to why black people make stuff "theirs." it's always an issue when it's something positive (BET being one), but let it be something "negative." lol, now it's ok for the black population to own that baby. so there's a president, who's black, who black people are proud of, but comes with loads of baggage (none more than any of the other 43 white presidents)...but he's the poor black man's problem/fault/doings/etc. these arguments are tired and useless...i can't stress that enough.

No one expects Obama to be perfect, but I dont think I am stretching all that far to expect someone of character. Obama most definately lacks that. I wont even go into the political system that Obama came up in because we have all seen the state of Chicago politics.

As far as blacks "owning" anything. IMO that is because of all the black victim groups such as the NAACP, and the black "leaders" such as Sharpton and Jackson. If it wasnt for people like these we would be much further along than we are. It seems like everytime there is a high profile issue involving both races, those 2 are VERY quick to jump on the racism bandwagon. The Duke Lacrosse team was a perfect example of this. Funny how Sharpton was quick to the camera demanding an apology after the comment from Don Imus, but he could never make time to get in front of a camera to apologize for HIS comments regarding those kids.
The Georgia education system is another example of blacks claiming to be victims. They have gone so far as to claim standardized testing is racist and designed to hold back blacks.
I think you get the point.

NEVER HAVE AND NEVER SAID THAT WAS A NICE SYSTEM. No I was making fun of the fact that you was riding tank's nuts.

And to comment back at anthony, I have only met you twice or maybe three times at the most. I really only remember maybe three occasions, When raced in g net and maybe twice at the bowling alley. I don't ever remember this call out from across the parking lot shit. Since you're such a badass, why is the first time I have heard about this, b/c I know you would have posted this up long ago. You get your feeling so hurt all the time on this forum, it is sad. I guess I called you a dumbass too many times, sorry ant but your comments make you look like one. I understand you do not like obama, but I am not going to put up with you putting my race down with your comments that most blacks voted about race when for a fact your stupid ass had no numbers to back up your claim.

Spoolin, give it a rest. hes already in. lol!!!

And the couple of you talking about ppl voted on race. Which race did they vote for the african part or the white part? bc hes both.

I dnt remember what state it was (i believe it was florida) but way more white voted for him than blacks.

To me, the ones who keep throwing the race card out there are the real racists.

I don't care how you feel about obama, but I am not going to have you dumb down the black vote by saying that majority of blacks voted for him b/c of the color of obama's skin. That is my issue with you on this topic. I see dumbasses.

Sorry if the two of you couldn't get along because of your two faced 12 year old attitude. Take your issues out on a wall or something, It maybe taller than you but at least if can't hit back

Considering my first car was a 2G GST. I know what you mean. But your car was ALWAYS down. It's one thing to be down for small amounts of time, completely other thing to be down CONSTANTLY.

The car was not my priority and cars still come last in my list of things to do. My stock evo has been down since august, now you have something else to talk about

I think you get the point.
i understand what you're saying, but you're missing the big picture. first, if you disagree with obama and his policies, then that's completely understandable. there's not a single politician that exist whose policies/plans can suit the needs of EVERYONE. the point is, that has nothing to do with him being black, or black people rallying for him. <--- that is the issue i'm having with people. that's just a far too common argument coming from a lot of people (including a few in this thread and many others).

the duke lacrosse team, yeah it was a pretty fucked up situation. there are plenty of times where sharpton and jackson push things to the extreme, or take things out of context...but what about the situations where they don't? think about the michael bell situation....or the guy who was shot a ridiculous amount of times by cops in new york....or the guy who was sodomized by police in new york...the girl who was raped and forced to eat shit in DC (i think that's where it was)...the list goes on. it's difficult for the black community to put down sharpton and jackson for the negative things they do, because they also do A LOT OF POSITIVE, and none of us (black folks) never know when we might need them. racism is still alive and well in the country, that's something that neither you nor i can deny.

i believe tony made a point a long time ago stating that obama will have to do 10 times more than any other president to be accepted in this country, primarily due to the color of his skin. think about it...when has the election of ANY PRESIDENT in this country ever prompted a discussion him and his race OR even religion???

you made a statement earlier about how bush rallied the country together after 9/11. i'm sorry, but i can't accept that statement. THE PEOPLE rallied together after 9/11...not just one man. i do praise him for going after those who wanted to kill us...but he's not the reason the country rallied together. i feel that obama played a major role to rally the country together in electing a man regardless of the color of his skin. regardless of all of the shots the mccain camp took against obama, he still kept his plan and the people FIRST...that's character.

i could go on for days, but i won't. the only reason i stepped in here was because i took anthony's comments as highly offensive and untrue. i'd love to get another "election dinner" going, and have this discussion with you guys...i feel like i've got so much to say, but don't care to type.

If you don't think that a majority of "black" voters, voted for him because he was black then you are just lying to yourself..... Its blatantly obvious and i have spoken to a few black friends of mine who voted for him and ASKED them if the fact that he was black was the deal maker. They all unanimously said YES.

Race was a MAJOR factor in this campaign and if you refuse to believe that then you are pretty ignorant. You cant deny the obvious.

And don't even give me some stats from CNN or FOX or the major news stations stating otherwise because everyone knows they're ALL rigged and biased one way or the other.

and to stephen^^^ : racism is all alive and well, yes, but the rediculous amount of racism FROM the BLACK community cannot be denied. The reason there is still so much racism( partially ) is because of people like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton. every chance they get they pull out the race flag and try to say that such and such action was because of someones hatred for blacks. they CONTINUE the problem. have you noticed that they ONLY speak out about actions AGAINST blacks not committed BY blacks..... they are f**king stupid.

Question: If the number of black voters remained the same from the last election, what would the outcome have been?

he probably still would have won. but the point isnt whether he won or lost because of it, its the fact that race played such a huge role.

you asked "If the number of black voters remained the same..."

How many of those new voters voted for obama?

Several, but with that said, I know several that voted Hilary first (male/female) and many that voted for McCain.

The taboo about it is the excitement behind this election. Jesse didn't get the nod, and people swore to hell and back that he was the "black voice".

If the McCain supporters, that voted for him on race alone, stood up and were AS excited as the Obama supporters, we wouldnt be having this discussion. I am tired of people (as Stephen/Tiger said) of people putting the black vote in the toilet. The shit is not right. Race played a role on both sides HEAVILY. All this banter about flocking like sheep is getting old. By calling Americans dumb/ignorant is unpatriotic in itself. Still, no one has made an excuse for the WEALTHY, EDUCATED whites that voted for Obama

The people chose our leader, don't go off calling him a "piece of shit" or any other name for that matter. Our country needs a jump start. Now that we have every one talking and thinking, change is coming. Not "change" in the respect of the Obama campaign slogan, but change in the American mindset. Jobs lost, prices up/down, deficit worsening, death tolls up, major companies failing. Obama did not have a major hand in the plague that he is about to embark on. Let him run the 4 years and make his strides....if he makes things worse, or waste time THEN call him a POS!!!!

Well, I was mainly still on AnthonyF's comment. He has called Obama a POS since day one, lol.

He was elected, now he gets his shot. Who knows what the future holds, he (and/or is cabinet) may figure out a solid solution, or put a plan in place.

Show me facts on the .1% please.

alright...so i get the point(s) that some of you are making:

    1. obama was only elected because of the poor black vote (i guess those people didn't exist when jesse jackson and al sharpton both ran for president).

    2. al sharpton and jesse jackson represent the black community as a whole, and their mentalities are the reason racism still exist.

    3. substandard schools (which are prominent in low income/minority communities) have nothing to do with poor education.

    4. obama is a piece of shit because he ran and was elected president.

    5. ONLY white people voted for mccain (or anyone else other than obama), and they represent the educated and wealthy masses of society.

    i'm sure there's a few other points i'm missing.

Wasting your time, look at your educated post then look at the response.

Whats the saying? Never argue with idiots, they will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience. That logic applies here.
