i'm voting for him because I think he has the charisma and sensibility to help start repairing our relations with the rest of the world. I've got some concerns with some aspects of his platform, but overall I believe he is a far superior candidate to McCaine. Now, after us as a community of black people have taken care of our non-voting issues behind closed doors, we can now voice it out to the country. Not only grasping the black voters, but anyone else who has not expressed the right to vote. This process has been on going for about 10 years now. I remember in HS they were pushing the notion of expressing your vote. I am proud that the number of voters skyrocketed! The next step is to further education Americans on the process, and government as a whole. You should be excited too, we all should!

Why are all the McNugget supporters so worried about how demographics (Blacks, Women) will vote? Why do the reasons people are voting on the other side even matter to them? If the Black vote was important to McNugget, I'm sure he would probably address some of the concerns of the African American community (fighting AIDS, improving public schools, lower taxes for working class, etc) in his campaign platform. But his campaign platform seems to be more directed toward the top 5% of wage earners and business owners.

Ok you are right and I am wrong. 90% of black people, including the celebrities are voting for Obama. It took a black man to get people to vote. Yep all the young white kids with an open mind, along with countless other races, to finally get excited about voting to go and do it.

My personal feelings about why many people did not vote prior to now, esp blacks, is beacuse no candidate stood for anything worth voting for. It makes you feel like no one cares.
