@QD: i'm sorry you don't find the pedos funny. it really took off on 3si.org and hilarious demotivational posters were made with it. but 3Si is a different world. i'm sure you'll be glad to know, they've been removed since as the joke really has lost it's oomph. i took my Canon EOS 5D and went on a mega photoshoot last night with the car and will be posting up MUCH better pics in a few.
thank you for the good comments as well... :p
@oneSLOWex: thank you for the good comments! right now, plans for the car are a bit minimal, i just wanted to get it to the place it is now where i can run outside, turn the key and go with peace of mind. now that i can do that, go-fast parts are soon to follow, first on my list are street/strip spec brian crower cams as i'm very close to being sponsored. exhaust will be soon to follow as well. will be converting to a straight single shot setup that will net me some lower end grunt to go with the cams top end power. as for color, i will be sticking with the color it has now, as it was very rare. it is not the "oh-so-common panama green", it's timber green pearl. it looks great on the car in person.
i've wanted this car ever since i was 8 yrs old when my mother remarried and my new stepfather had and DD'd a '93 VR4. years later he sold it to purchase a 2002 Jaguar XKR100, he's missed the car ever since and is currently trying to track it down to buy it back and rebuild.
really excited about meeting some people tonight at some local meets!

I like the no spoiler look on this. Did everyone come with a spoiler from the factory? I know the old vr4 had the moving spoiler.
thank you, and yes every 3S came with a spoiler. only the VR4 had the active aero systems with the front air dams and spoiler, however, in '97 they changed the spoiler design to "the hoop" to go with the redesigned fascias of the car. and then in '99 the VR4's had the "combat wing" :p while the SL's and base's retained the "hoop"
the dodge stealth had the "banana wing" which was functional, but it was stationary.
welcome man nice car
1990 Mustang Coupe...turbo lq4 through the glide
what have you heard or read that has given you this common misconception?
VR4's are the ones that tend to have stupid things go wrong, i'll give you that.
however, all N/As both SOHC and DOHC have proven to be outstanding daily drivers and i've been DD'ing mine for over 2 years. the only thing i've had to rebuild was the transmission and that was because it was abused by the last owner.
i rebuilt the engine, just to rebuild the engine and to ensure a longer, stronger life.
when you drive one, you'll want to buy one.
