    my step dad has a 67 buick riviera kinda like the 442 blue but with lots of pearl in it

    Thank for all the comments. I hope to have some new pics pretty soon. Ive got the new radio in from Custom Auto Sound and New carpet going in tonight if I can keep the gf happy long enough to do it.

    Put the interior back in tonight. Here are a couple shots. Radio from custom auto sound, IT fits in the stock location but has a digital display and I have a hook up cord for the Ipod in the ash tray. Had to pull the dash bezel and gauges to clear the lenses on the clock and lube the speedo cable. And I also put new carpet down tonight. WIll probably have to recover the seats eventually, but they are in such good shape its hard to spend the coin to replace right now even though they are discolored by age. Onward to body work.

    Well, I had previously planned on boosting the low compression 350 in the skylark, but after crunching the numbers( hp,ft/lbs, $$$) It makes more sense to swap in the 455(factory rated 365 hp, 510 ft/lbs) out of my GS car. Motor runs well, but im going to check the compression either tonight or tomorrow. If everything checks out, I'll go ahead and get the 455 on the engine stand and detail it out to get it ready for the skylark.

    Pulled the 455 out of the GS. Its going to take awhile to get all the new parts, bead blast the old parts, get the valve job and port/polish the heads, and get everything painted up nice. Hopefully Ill have it in the skylark in a month or so.

    Figured Id Post a quick update. I got the engine disassembled early last week and got the heads sent off to be gone through. Should have them back in the next couple of days. Gasket set, buick red engine paint, and a couple various other parts. If I can get the intake and valve covers blasted I'll be able to get it back together soon.
