whats wrong with an automatic? the supra probably still out performs yours
and they don't have to worry about missing shifts. welcome to the forums though, there are plenty of things to do and people to hang out with, car related events and meets

I think your choices are Wylie's and Wal-mart lol! It's a dry county too! Best bet is to try out the dorms next to you until a chick finds cute enough to pull you inside haha...it always worked for me

my 350z is an AT. beautiful engine, all the power is there.

nothing wrong with an AT, new sports cars and steering away from MT, what will you do then? sure, it will take away from the "full experience" of driving, but damn, if you drive with me you won't be worried about clutches or shifting. I have fun probably 95% of my driving time (the other 5% is soaked up by retarded drivers)

There's a HUGE difference between an automatic and an automated manual.

The BMW's SMG is the exact same transmission, same clutch & flyweel everything. The only difference is the slave cylinder is electronically controlled by a box on the side of the transmission and controlled by a computer which is operated by paddles instead of a manual lever operated by your foot. Same goes for the original Ferrari paddle shifters.

An automatic is made out of 1,000 of parts, springs & valve bodies...in most situations any abuse or anything above stock power will destroy them. You have virtually no control over the car with it.

Hmm, well most of your old muscle cars that drag race run an auto.

Since there's only really 2 places to do any serious drag in Dahlonega and the rest are mtns that's not a very good debate for up there lol! That cobalt would understeer like crazy on the curves so the Supra would be better but I would destroy the transmission in an hour or two ha!

Your Z is a piece of shit. Don't act like it's the baddest car on the planet. Not ALL the power is there. hence why an Auto sucks dick.

Supras are generally faster with an auto. I would prefer a stick over an auto ANY day. That's why I don't care for many of the new cars today.

unless of course we're talking about VOODOOJC's Z with 600whp.. then ALL the power IS there.

I agree and prefer a manual, just saying people use auto for drag and they can hold up(maybe not stock)
