i think cable trannys suck and street racing is...watch the news. stupid and ppl are constantly dying bc of it, some actually racing and some just caught it the lack of driving skills of the "racers". 240's can be very fast, but fast and reliable is not cheap. u can squeeze a 500 shot of juice on a car and itll be fast for like 3 seconds and useless for a while.

Welcome man, if you want a late 80's to early 90's car I would recomend a BMW 325i or 325iS "aka the E30" because they are great cars inside and out, and they will run forever if you treat them rite.

Life begins at 6000 RPMS.. You will notice an audible change in engine noise, large increase in acceleration and any female passengers will immidiately start to remove their clothing.

I personally bought a 240 because I felt it was an entry level RWD car with excellent aftermarket support that could be respectable with a reasonable amount of money. I still feel the same way.

That's quite the stipulation, I think a lot of coupes/hatches just fell off your list lol.

So you want something fast and reliable that can fit a carseat. But you dont want a 240 because your friend says "its not fast street racing wises," so you are second guessing that decision. Street racing should be the LAST THING on your mind, ESPECIALLY with a car seat sitting in the back.

Doesnt sound like you need anything remotely fast. A 4 door Honda will be your best choice.
