    Hey i signed up to the forum last month but just got my first car today btw posted some pics in to car pics section.



    Okay something else
    umm iam trying to learn to drive stick any suggestions ?
    like if i stall the car is that harming the clutch or w/e or what (dont know much bout cars)

    Welcome. You could mess it up, but you probably won't. First gear is the hardest, after that it's all gravy.

    well i drove today and yes first is the hardest
    started down hill and after that it was easy XD btw tommorw lesson #3

    I say flat ground is better at first. Just less to worry about until you get how it feels. Hills are a good way to practice after you have it all figured out. When you are on a hill, you can't feel the car pulling so you know where to release the clutch.

    good luck learning how to drive a stick. i learned it pretty quickly. you'll be fine. you'll learn how to drive it before you fuck up the clutch...

    Just go to an empty parking lot and practice repeatedly starting in first. Then stopping and starting again. Once you get first down, the rest come naturally. Just need to get a feel of the clutch and where it engages at. If it helps, try to do it slowly with no gas at all, just use the clutch. Will help you get a better feel for it. But like i said practice in a parking lot with no traffic.
