Default Kinda new here...from NE AL. X2 hatches...

Well, hello! I figured that I would introduce myself. I really don't expect any kind of welcome party with the cars I have or anything. Hate if you want, But I've had these cars so long that it really doesn't matter that the style is a little dated, the car still looks nice. I do all of my own body work and build my own motors, and my own wiring, but enough about me, here are a few pics(flamesuit on)

My red hatch(had it since 2003)

    Both of them

    White hatch(dd)

    , questions and comments welcome.

Getting there, just buying random shit for my other gsr I bought to rebuild it. if another member on here, who sold me a gsr trans who said it was a 98k flawless transmission, was actually the contrary. When I took it home for closer inspection, I noticed that when I turned the main shaft, it had a bit of a shitty grinding noise. And then I pulled on it, and noticed that it would come out a little bit, so I took it apart to find on the magnet on the inside of the trans like half a destroyed bearing, and a lot of metal from it. Ass bag won't even answer my calls, or pm's.

What part of NE AL are you in?

Did you buy that red Civic like that? Later, QD.

About 30 minutes west of Rome. No, I didn't buy the red car that way, I did it all, and that is the way it stays for now I guess, but it looked worse when I got it.

    Ringgold area?

The owner of this site had a Civic back in the early 2000's that looked basically just like yours. Later, QD.

Don't even know where that is, but it didn't look quite like this at all when I got it, it had a black front end, euro's, 1 mirror, and was a weird red color that in the right lighting at night looked pink. But alas I riced this one up.

Ringgold is just North of Weiss Lake. I used to travel Hwy 20 out of Rome and Hwy 9/68 into Al heading over to Huntsville. Ringgold is about the biggest city just across the state line in Alabama. Cedar Bluff sound familiar? Later, QD.

It's an H22a, but also an H2B with the evolution kit. I have a jdm sir2 Lsd trans on it. And that is a real SSR header.

I've only ran it a few times on street tires, 4 to be exact. It really spins, a lot. You have to get the perfect balance of spin. First 2 runs were awful, all spin. Then went home b/c the clutch was brand new and I kinda slipped it on the second run. Second time I went did a 13.4, then a 13.3. Can't launch it, it will lose traction if you let it go at 2500-3000 completely. So I'm rolling off the line, getting a 2.2 60', and a 107 mph. so It definitely has 12's in it,just have to have a little more seat time. Slicks for sure 12's would be easy. I beat the 2002 camaro SS w/ bolt ons and a new g8 gt.

    thats not bad.
i would try launching it around 1500rpms and about a little more than 3/4 throttle thru first gear. i think with the car on some good street tires it has capabilities to hit at least a 12.9 like maybe some street slicks.
i know another guy who had a hatch and had the same problem. he couldn't get past like 13.3's but he was also running some random off the way hard tires. didn't grip for anything. and spun just about all the way down.
