    Default It's a V-DUB!

Hola. Just thought I'd come over and see what the fuss was about. This is the first import I've owned aside from my Maxima. I'm an LS1 man at heart, but
My toy for now is a '71 Super Beetle with roll cage, cam, etc. Intentions are to turn it into fun cruiser/mountain rider. It's been cleaned up a fair amount since these pictures, but these are all that I have for right now...

Going to wait until I get the motor/suspension/brakes/etc where I need them to be, then its on to clean it up and such.
    And the daily, too...

Might as well throw in some pictures of the monster truck, too...(for sale for anyone that cares)

The thought has been entertained, but I think I'm going to stick with aircooled...Just more displacement and possible hairdryer?
But if I step away from aircooled, I'll stick with the boxer style and go Subaru That is if I can find an entire pull-out for relatively cheap.

Yeah I definitely love the truck...over $50k into it, but I'm ready to start dumping some money into the 'Dub...so truck's gotta go.

Thats a pretty awesome aircooled. You just missed a great aircooled event in Flowery Branch this past weekend. Theres a bigger aircooled show at Silver Dollar down in Macon on Sunday Oct. 5th.

I say go with a >2000cc motor, dual Weber 40's, etc.

No I was there. I just didn't make the show until later on in the day (1 or 2ish) since I was finishing up some cleaning/painting/installing on the Bug.

And yeah, if I do stick with aircooled, it will more than likely be a 2000+cc motor. Still unsure about the dual carb setup though...Just seems to be more of a pain than anything.

    Thanks...

Despite owning 'Stangs, Camaro SS's, and other cool junk, I think this may be my favorite ride just for the cool factor. I'm hoping within the upcoming months to have some solid 12 second runs

Thanks man. I should be cruisin' down to the Varsity in the Bug on Saturday assuming I get a few small tuning issues down pat.

I just wish I could get rid of the truck to start making the Bug meaaaaaannnnn!

You should! These things are too much fun. Once cash gets flowing, I'll get a Scooby motor in it and get 300hp in a 1600lb car

And not sure if unique would be the optimum word choice given that it looks JUST like it
