    Default DSM Tranny

    I've got a DSM tranny.... came out of a 1st gen FWD turbo. I bought it from a guy here in ATL a year or so ago, and then ended up never needing it..... so it's just sitting. I payed $300 for it.... so I'll take $300 for it. Just PM me if you're interested.

    It can... but it takes some work. I'm pretty sure you would need to get new CV axles, and possibly fabricate a tranny mount. Plus, the 2nd gen trannys are supposed to handle more power. I have a 97.... and I bought this one to go in. But decided it wasn't gonna be worth the headache of getting to fit. Somebody let me know if I'm off base, but honestly, I'd say look for a 2nd gen tranny. They do cost more though. I got mine for like $850 with 70,000 miles.

    Ya I was just curious if it was for a first gen 7 bolt motor but still would fit in the 2g. My car is already a pain, I don't need anymore headaches. Good luck with the sell.

    you still have that dsm 1g fwd turbo 5-speed tranny? what year car did it come out of? any problems with big or small?
