My bad i forgot the price 9k obo, the 99 spyder gets the 2.4 4G64 SOHC basically a 4G63 with 6mm taller block and SOHC head.
naw man im lookin for the dough, but thanks for the interest.
wat no takers
this is the ricer that tried to race my 87 honda prelude
looks nice, rather have a DOHC myself!
thanks tech, and the sohc aint so bad, and jada, well what the fuck can i say he does that shit from time to time, boost his self esteem up, the car's quick but still has a lot of potential
The ride is clean, if I had anything worth more value than what I have I'd cash it in and go for the Spyder...always had a soft spot for them!!! Props!
I use to have oneMine was a DOHC, never seen this engine ever in my life in an Eclipse, not even the RS's had SOHC, they were DOHC too, this is weird, i dont think thats the engine that came with the car
i dont know why people are so comfused about this engine, the 99 spyder is the only 2g with this engine, mitsubishi was trying out before sticking it in the 3g. The engine code is 4G64 look it up and you'll find it.
just in case your too lazy to search:

i guess i was wrong about only the 99 having that engine

View the world through a dogs eyes, if you can't screw it or eat it, pi$$ on it and walk away.
whats pricey about 8000? theres people trying to get 5-6k out of a stock with high mileage
clean gl with sale. so this was just a regular spider then added the boost?

integra 92 gsr b20v turbo
integra 00 ls
infiniti i35 02
nice car/ setup perfect for the summer.. and ive never seen a 99 with a sohc..either...lol
Not to dog the price. But I sold a AWD 4g63 Spyder for cheaper then 8K. May want to come down to around 5K.
But on the good note. Your car has a 2.4L and shares the same chassis as the GSX. So it's still a nice car in my eyes. Hope you sell it.

sorry its taken me so long to respond i've sorta been out of it for a while. But yea i still don't know why people are tripping over the 4G64, i guess it seems weird to me because i've known them for so long, but yeah its a 2.4l SOHC originally non turbo, but has one installed. It runs 10 psi daily which is about as much as you can have on the stock bottom end. AS far as horsepower if you take 141bhp - transmission loss + 10 psi from a 16G you should be somewhere around low to mid 200's depending on the conditions.
ill race your 87 honda preludeOriginally Posted by jadakid88
