^^ while leaving the motor in the car. Well long story short, My compression on one cylinder is at 60 psi!! I didn't bothering checking the rest and did a wet test on the same cylinder. Doing so I got 90-100ish psi. Could it be bad rings or just that it's been sitting for nearly 9-10 months?

My current set-up is Boosted Ls/vtec. A year ago I got it build and then took out the swap to paint the car in and out. The motor sat for nearly 9-10 months. It was tuned and maintained (Fluilds)and Oil pressure is good.

Specs:
Je/SRP 10:0:1
Eagle Rods
ARP Rod bolts
ACL bearing
3-layer head gasket

I don't think it's bent valve because I also did a wet compression test. Now my friend told me to Re-ring the pistons. Im not trying to be cheap I just can't have my car down any longer after almost a year of working on it and not having a car.

My question is, would you suggest getting the pistons re-ringed without disassembling the motor? What I mean is opening the head and doing it from the bottom end. My friend said I could probably reuse the bearing if they are good but I'll rather buy new ACL bearing. What do you think?

Thanks, gerardo
