    Default Questions on Boosted b16a

i was planning on boosting my stock b16a motor, i was thinking about putting a thicker head gasket to lower compression, and looking forward to going towards the 250 hp range, tuning it with crome. Was wondering how fatal am im looking to abusing the motor from being stock....!

the bad part about boosting a b16 is that the rings will go out..

    why?

Horsepower doesn't kill motors, PSIs kill motor.

I think he meens, at 10psi you should be making around 230, and aggressive driving on 10psi daily will pop ringlands, also any boost above that is just a time bomb.
