Default My project FD.... Spirit FEED!

Well, I thought I share my project FD... I know I've mentioned it to some of you and thought I show some of my progress.

This is how it used to look like (almost identical to my MB FD)..

Until, I blew my coolant seal going to a carshow in Nashville (Honda Tech day 2004).

Now putting all the part in... More pics later..

hehe.. I actually have 3.. Last one is an 1993 VR (red) R1.. which I'll be turning it into my track bitch! LOL!

I'll be running Greddy FMIC. I'm not big on FMIC anymore but since I already have all the custom pipings and such from my previous car, I'm sticking with it.

Just so you know, FMIC causes higher water temp... I'm running larger radiator and modified fans with cooler turn on. Also, I'm going to customize radiator duct so that the air will flow into the radiator better...
Its a project I been planning for couple of years.. Its just hard when I have a full time job and organizing DGRR..

Spirit R cluster doesn't come on sale.. New one from Mazda is over 4k and you have to prove that you are a Spirit R owner. This goes for any Spirit R special parts!! i'm a huge rotorhead and one of the guy I knew since 2002 in Japan was selling his Spirit R cluster and I was able to obtain it from him. It wasn't cheap but it wasn't $4k!

Here are few more bling bling parts..

This turbo isn't going on.. at least not now.. T76 BB.. Custom built for a drag racer in NE. Same turbo made 550RWHP and spools quite well. I'm planning to use it on my future 20B project. Its been polished and custom welded by a guy named David Garfinkle in Nashville, TN.
