Thread: starter signal issue please help!

Default starter signal issue please help!

Hey guys, I'm having a problem with starting my car. I can start it by popping the clutch by a roll start. I've replaced the battery and I've replaced the starter. I checked the voltage at all related fuses and the one that is showing nothing is the starter signal fuse 7.5 amp located under the dash at the drivers kick panel. I've replaced that fuse 2 times but both were good. I tested the sides of the fuse with a multi meter and I'm not getting any voltage at any of the 2 sides. Doesn't matter if the car is ignition switch off, on or car running (once clutch popped) Does this mean that the ignition switch is bad? I've never had a problem before and it just started last night. The car is a 91 4 door Honda accord 2.2 fully stock. Any help would be so appreciated. Thanks

Did you check the clutch safety switch?

Hey, thanks for posting. I did, its something to do with the voltage going to the fuse box the 7.5 amp one. Its not sending any voltage to the starter signal wire. So the ignition switch may be at fault but highly unlikely. So I ran a hardwire setup with a hidden switch. Problem solved

That's a bootleg way of fixing it... Replace the switch!

Honestly I could care less if its "bootleg" as you call it. Its my daily driver and I needed to get it working with in a day. I previously said problem solved, I did not say OEM FIXED.

Yeah, it was not a permanent fix, I needed to get my car back on the road quickly. Besides this thread was made last week and I got the car back on the road the same day.
