    Default AEM UEGO Wideband help

I am thinking about buying am AEM wideband, guage type. I am building an engine this summer and having this gauge for tuning and driving purposes will be beneficial. I already have a chipped ecu and will be getting it retuned after the new engine is built. My question is...since I don't have an aftermarket ems, can I use this wideband as my O2 sensor? or can I run it in conjunction with my stock O2 sensor? and what are the pro's and con's of both?

    Thanks IA!

Most factory O2 sensors are narrow band. It is used for the OEM computer. If you are still on the stock computer, you probably should just use a factory O2 to feed it.
EDIT: Some Honda's have a wide band stock - not sure if yours is one. Most are narrow band.

The AEM UEGO is wideband, and what you use for aftermarket EMS, and for tuning. I run one all the time, and it feeds my EMS the O2 signal.

Having a WB gauge just allows you to see if you are running into trouble while driving.

I have a 93 del sol si...its narrow band haha. There is a setting on the wideband to run it as 0-1v, the same voltage as the stock o2, but also 0-5v as wideband. Can I run it as my o2 on the smaller range and/or run it with my other o2 with the wider range?

    You should be able to.
If you don't have the AEM UEGO already, call Bob at Kurgan Motorsports tomorrow and ask him. He is a dealer for AEM , and keeps them in stock, and knows just about everything about the unit.
