1991 Honda Prelude 2.0 SI

Motor blew and I'm taking out everything that isn't necessary and putting a new motor in. Was wanting to know what exactly this is and if it can be removed.

But seriously I don't know, can you take a few more pics at diff angles?
It most likely looks like some sort of old EVAP setup.

looks like the map sensor and egr purge valves you need both for it to run right.
Hella stock member!
egr purge valve should have a hard line too it. Is there a vacuum line to it? Could be a old vacuum saver block type thing, but looks like evap if that's liquid in there

I think that its both evap and map. Thanks for the help guys.
ok nOObs, yes you can delete the black box. how ever you will need to lengthen the map sensor wires so you can hide it under the intake. as far as the other stuff controls the egr, if you want to get rid of it you can. but you will eventually throw a code. unless you get a chipped ecu to delete the egr. your in a 91 so your already obd1.
