Del Sol Fuel Pump not working!!! Worked yesterday...HELP!
I daily drive a 93 Del sol Si and it has worked fine the whole time I've owned it until today when I went to start it and it didn't.
It cranks fine, no CEL, but I do not hear the fuel pump cut on. I checked fuses and reset the ECU.
I don't know why it would randomly stop working...
Any suggestions to troubleshoot/fix? I need this car for work and need help asap!!

I've done a little bit of research and found that it COULD be the main relay...where is that?

It started tonight...fuel pump primed and everything...FIRST TRY. Now if I'm not mistaken, THAT IS the main relay acting up???
I also researched that if the car has been bogging down or misfiring it could be the fuel pump on its way out.
It has been a LITTLE big boggy I guess, and it has missed at high rpms under heavy load on rare occassion...
Still would like others to chime in!!

Replaced the main relay, but it wasnt the issue. Still works on the old one. Fuel pump has a bad connection I'm guessing. Started again today after I replaced the old Main relay...I'm seriously CONFUSED!!

Probably need to take to someone with more electrical experience...
Run threw the test on both relay's... and I myself would test the relay when it's acting up, normally when hot they give problems..
As for the bog you speak of, it could be a number of things, but Fuel pump, and fuel filter would be on my check-list..
Good rule of thumb on honda's I've noticed is if it don't prime and start on the first spin, then the pump is old and worn-out.. But that's me, replacement parts are to cheap just to over look.. Most pumps run 2-300K, but Oem don't last forever..LOL
The old relay works so I'm assuming that's not it for now.
As for a fuel pump, I'm going to order a Walboro 255...If it makes any difference, a buddy of mine told me to bang on the gas tank from under the car with a hammer...that's what made it work. lol

instead of making guesses and reading internet forums, why not test voltage at the pump when it doesnt start to actually begin to DIAGNOSE the issue
Check your battery voltage, make sure its sending enough power to turn your fuel pump. Check all connections, fuses, plugs, loose wires, etc (Use an ohm meter/voltage reader). Grab a wiring schematic for the fuel pump, make sure all the above aren't ruined before replacing your fuel pump.

No fuses blown, voltage at terminal #4 to #8 (thats how I read you're supposed to test it) is around 12v. I just have to get past all of this damn plastic behind my seats and I'll get started on the fuel pump..

Fuel pump grounds out on it's self, that's why when you bump the tank it works, Replace the pump... LOL
I thought my buddy was joking when he told me to do that...what the hell did I change when I bumped the tank? haha

Pump grounds its self out, If you was to check for voltage you would see ground, When you bump it or remove voltage sometimes it works again...LOL, You got luck... Just get that 255 in quick!!
