    Default fucked headlight question

    car is a 93 si eg. when car is a idle or turned off headlights will work fine. but when car is on and you give it gas they turn off, but turn on as soon as car is back at idle. ive checked alot of thing it could be but im stumped

    Ya, My guess would be ether the ELD or bad ground, Need to see What happens tho, meaning does it loose voltage or ground?..

    If the grounds can not support the load then shit can do freeky things.. ELD normally will cause a flicker, but never seen headlights go out under reving..lol thats funny!!

    did you upgrade your car headlight to hid or stock. Seem like your car doesn't have enough power to the light.

    its a hid kit. hmmmm but if that were the case wouldnt the kit turn off at idle and on at acceraltion?

    I think he's saying the voltage drops out when reving, and causing them to go out.. Meaning weak batt, weak Alt.. That's what I made of the post anyways

    hmmmm i see what you are saying. i dont think it could be the battery because when key is in on position but with motor off, key stay on no problem.

    Use a Multimeter to check batt voltage with everything on, if it drops below 12 then Alt is not charging good enough.. Try when reving also, you should see 13-13.5 atleast with a good ALT

    buddy just checked it a advanced battery good. alternator running to hot. 18v i think he said would that cause the hid to go into a kind of safty mode?

    yup alternator was the culprate unplugging the charge wire off it the hid stay on fine.

    18v is insane, be glad it hasnt done damage..

    glad you got this solved.

    yeah, the alternator was 17.4v at idle, and 18.9v at 3k with loads on... pretty hot... lol
    You're right - I have no idea what I'm talking about...
