Default Which Cv axles do I need?

I have a d16z6 from a del sol in a 93 hatch Cx I was told by someone that a d16z6 came in the si hatch and so I would just tell them I have the 1.6l engine. So I purchased new Cv axle but odd thing is the new Cv axle has gears on it for ABS but my car doesn't have ABS he told me at the auto parts store that it was showing same axle for both 1.5 and 1.6 civic hatch. So I put it on and it went on fine however. Seems bout 1/2 short am I missing something?

All d series axles are the same, i believe. If you dont have abs, just take a hammer and a screwdriver and knock the ring off. Axles are now sold one way, with abs. So if that is in fact a cv axle for a d series, (assuming the pulled the right part) it should work.

D-series have a long and a short axle.
if its only partially going in, make sure that the little ring thing on the end of the axle's splines is pinched on tight enough. mine would only fit in partially because that ring was catching on the diff.
