Default Questions regarding a wrecked car

Hey guys. Well, I effed up and rear ended a Chevy 1500. As the pictures show the collision was not "that" bad. There was no sub-frame damage, but as you can see the engine bay got messed up pretty bad. My biggest question is in regards to taking the front end apart. I am used to old cars where you have bolts holding everything together, and as you can see these are welded. What is the best way to take these body pieces off with damage anything around them. Also, I already have another shell I just need to disassemble and assemble. I have a good welder also ready to help me put it together. I just need help taking it apart thanks.

Dont use a sawzall. You need to drill out the spot welds, Snap on a matco sell a special drill bit for this. but a regular drill bit will work.

i thought he was just wanting to get the shit off this car to put on another. if he is wanting to repair this car, then yes he will want to drill out spot welds.

Sorry for taking so long to get back. But yeah it sucks I have had this car for less than a month. Thanks for the advise Silversol. And yeah 1civic I am learning that this is going to take a little longer than I thought. But one spot weld at a time I am making progress.

I know the feeling dude. My mother-in-law backed into my RSX on new years night last year. Then a couple months later I hit Bambi's older brother. It sucked. Hope everything works out for you.
