1990 honda crx starting issue HELP PLEASE....

I have a 1990 CRX Si that will not start. One day the engine might turn over and the next it wont do anything but make a clicking noise from a small relay behined the stereo. This whole thing has my mind blowed right now and I just dont know what to do. The battery and starter have both checked out to be good also. Any help with this will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

The problem started out with the previous owner driving home normal one day and the car just shuts off with him so then he just kelped on and on turning it over trying to start it and it finally started back up and went a little further and died again and has not started back since.

Also the last time the car would turn over I could have the door open and you could hear the beeping noise from when the key was in the ignition switch and now that it wont turn over you cant hear it beeping anymore either.

Is that the one behind the kick pannel on the drivers side? If so we have done tried 3 different ones and it still does the same thing. That one also clicks when I try to turn the car over.

Try jump starting the car and see whether it will crank. Check your plugs and your fuel pressure!

if it turns over and it just doesn't start try the dizzy...
to test it u grab (i use) the dipstick and clean it and unplug one of the wires from the sparkplug and stick the dipstick in there and lay it down... have a buddy try to crank the car and you should see sparks... if no spark, try another plug... if it still has no spark then most likely your coil is bad/dizzy.

The problem is is that it does not turn over right now but some days it will turn over and that is what has my mind blowed right now. It just dont make any since. When it does turn over it still will not start but im pretty sure that it is a fuel problem causing that but I just dont know why one day it will turn over and the next all it will do is make that clicking noise from the relay behind the stereo.

Does it turn over or not? If its not turning over and you just hear a click, your starter contacts/solenoid sound bad. Check the voltage at the starter signal wire when someone is trying to start it to make sure.

Sometimes it will turn over for some reason but most of the time it is just the clicking noise from behind the stereo. When its doing the way it is the starter does not make a sound at all no clicking or nothing.

Ok check the signal wire at the starter for voltage while someone is trying to start the car. if youve got 12v+ then its your starter or a cable issue

check power and continuity to the signal wire.
check the poer wire on the starter,
check battery voltage.
check for breaks in any power wires.
check your grounds.

I am going to check all of those things just as soon as I can and as soon as I do I will post up if I found any issues or not. I have been working so much as of late that I have not been able to mess around with it anymore yet.
