my car is pissing me off
I have a 97 ek hatch with a 95 ls motor in it. it surges constantly ive tried diff iacv a diff fast idle valve. i can re calibrate my tps and it runs fine for abt 25 mins then it starts again. it also cuts off every time i come to a stop but it always starts right back up. need some ideas.

the only code its throwing is 17. which if i remember right is vss. not sure off the top of my head. but JDMJ that is what i am leaning towards. i just hope it is somthing simple like that. im 100% sure the wiring is right bc the car had a 3 wire iacv and im running a 2 wire with my swap.

oh yea and another thing is sometimes the car runs great. and i wont have a check engine light or it wont surge. that i find strange lol.

When you say you recalibrate it..Is it out of whack after you set it and drive? if so..id def look into a tps.

it may be the ecu.. wiring and grounds could be fine but if its doing its own calibration and resetting to a particular pattern, it may run the way it does now
Its better to be pissed off then pissed on!
It's not the speed that kill's its the sudden stop at the end.

Replace your fuel pump
fuel filter BEFORE fuel pump. always shoot for the cheapest fixes before the most expensive.
Did you repin your Ecu? I'm positive that is your problem.

Vacuum leak somewhere can cause a surging idle. Check your coolant too.

How do your hoses look? You should replace all of them if you haven't already. They sometimes heat up and expand/contract and cause intermittent vacuum leaks.
