    Default JDM motor help

In the process of doing an JDM H23A DOHC VTEC swap in my 4th gen Accord and noticed something weird about the VTEC solenoid. This particular motor does not have the sensor coming off the side of the solenoid whereas USDM VTEC solenoids have it. I assume this is the oil pressure sensor. My solenoid has the other couple of wires coming off of it that I assume is the actual VTEC switch.

My question is can I have a base map put on my ECU that can eliminate the need for that sensor and only use the switch at the selected VTEC crossover point or will it still need that sensor? Getting the sensor isn't an issue if I need it.

I haven't yet. Figured Emmino or a tuner could chime in.

Yeah, that's what we determined. Basically, I am wanting to see if I can get away with tricking the motor to see that it's still in it's original platform. The original platforms were Accord SIR wagons with chassis codes CH6 and CL9. Granted, these two cars are much newer than what I have but just looking at options.

If you are running a chipped ecu, you do not need the vtec pressure switch, it will operate fine. All that is necessary is the solenoid.
