Default HUGE mount problem. B series in EG

OKay you guys will need to use your imagination to picture this.

I bought a H series hatch, took it out to put a b series in. I noticed when I put the motor in that the side (transmission side) bracket where the mount is had been cut a little and a new hole had been made. Now that I have a B series mount, it does not lign up with the hole. It is like an inch away. There is not enough bracket. IDK what to do now. I was thinking to weld 2 metal plates on each side of the bracket to serve as an extension then drill a hole and place the mount there? I am not sure how to go about this. What do you guys think.

I'm close, and only have sundays tho.. Drill the welds, remove the old one, and then prep the new mount.. I have a spot welder, but you will be on your own with prep work and re-painting tho.. Cover my gas and it's a done deal..
