    Default Will it pass emissions

im thinking about buying a fully built b20 vtec in a 94 civic, but its never had emissions done before. i live in cherokee county so i have to have it checked.
the car has never gave a check enigine light so do you think it will be able to pass with a cat. on it?

So many things can determine if it will pass or not only way to know is have it tested first

if it has a cat it MIGHT! If it wont give the emissions guy the 'ol hundred dollar handshake and it will pass.

Honestly you have better luck with a B20 motor to pass emissions then a 1.5L

the emissions test will be based on the Vin number so it will come up either a 1.5 or 1.6L

I would say you would have a better chance then the stock engine , and if it has a good cat I would say yes . But like someone said it all depends on a few factors

    tune up good
    cat good
    o2 sensors working correctly
    timing is correct
    idling normal
    etc
