Emissions question. Wiring harness is converted obd2-1 (rywyre ) and obd1 ecu

In a 98 ek. I already figured I'd have to get a obd2 ecu but can y'all shine some light on if that is needed. This is all about me having to make this ek pass emissions....

And because the wiring harness is converted wouldnt it need to get another wiring that is obd2 or could I get a jumper harness for 2-1?

Hook a scan tool to the obd2 port If it has no codes or pending codes you should pass as long as the readyness monitors are up! Since its a 98 you can have up to two monitors not ready and still pass.
