Default Idle problem with my 94 coupe

So I have yet another problem with my D15B8 engine in this coupe. The idle is fine while the car is in drive and my foot is on the brake but when the car is in park, it drops and goes back to normal idle, like a bouncing effect but will stop when put back into drive. Im thinking it may be a sensor but I have no check engine light on so im not sure. what do you guys think?

Sounds to me you need to adjust the idle NOT the screw near cable but the small flat head above intake tube

clean the iac valve and the fast idle valve (if that engine has one) with throttle body cleaner. it will clean and lube. iac could be getting stuck.

im trying to remember how to adjust the fast idle valve but usualy its not neccesary anyhow. i had this problem with my 92 teggy and most of teh time its going to be a dirty/stuck valve. my issue was actually an oil soaked dizzy not providing enough voltage so the ECM was bumping up the idle than bumping it back down. leading me to believe it was my iac.

it doesnt have a fast idle valve either. I think the D15Z does but not the D15B8. i cleaned out the eacv and it seems to be running ok now, ill know better tomorrow after my 15 min. drive to work. while doing so i also noticed that my purge cut solenoid valve ( sits on the back right corner of the manifold on the driver side) was broke. I searched on a forum and found that you really dont need it and can bypass it. is this true or should i suck it up and get a new one? they are kinda pricey so if I can get by without it, that would be great.
