    Default Mini-Me V-tec bogging down?

    D15B2 W/ a Z6 head,

    V-TEC kicks in, but when it kicks in it dies down... you can still hear vtec but its slowly bogging down....?
    running a P28 ECU, if that may have anything to do with it..

    any ideas what it could be?

    just finished the swap in a del-sol

    preciate any help!

    its slow, period.















    LOL jaykay, check your oil pressure. if you know who assembled the engine ask them if they removed the oil restrictor orfice from the block, if they didnt then thats your answer.

    wouldnt the vtec just not kick in if the oil restrictor was not removed? or would it create too much oil psi? unsure myself

    get a oil pressure checker, put it where the oil pressure sensor is and hold the revs at 6, post here what is the oil pressure

    oil restrictors are gone...
    i was thinking bout that, if we still had them vtec wouldnt work period would it?
    gonna check oil pressure in a bit. i'll post that up asap

    ecu problem.




    does it hit 5400 like a redline? or it just stays at 5400 no rev bounce, no sputter, nothing?

    it'll hit 5400 and when it does its like hitting a brick wall, it'll stay there but its stupid..
    its hard to explain, there's no bounce, it just tries to die down

    do a oil change and sea foam the engine (intake manifold wise, not oil)

    Vtec not kicking. On a p28 vtec kick in at 5.5k and red line at 7.2 or 7.5 forgot (mine has no rev limiter)
    Any code?
