So i pulled my head today because I had a leaking head gasket and am about to change it out. when I pulled the head, I found two valves that were stuck open, all others were closed. The exhaust valve from the #2 cylinder and the intake valve from the #3 cylinder. Should these two valves be open like that? If not, whats the cause of it? keep in mind, before I pulled the head I placed the #1 piston at TDC ( honda manual said to) and this is an 8 valve D15B8 head. I also had oil all over my spark plugs when I pulled them as well but im thinking that may be from needing new spark plug tube seals. not 100% about that though. Please help, i need to get this thing back on the road, my truck kills me in gas!!! thanks for any help in advance!
